In the last few years the congregation at Hayes Barton has remodeled their sanctuary. It is a beautiful, acoustically rich setting for worship and also for recitals and concerts. With all slate floors, wood pews (comfortable), and beautiful stained glass. Major instruments include a beautiful new pipe organ by Buzard Organ Builders in 2010, and a beautiful Steinway piano. I will be playing an all piano concert for this recital on this fine instrument.
There is plenty of parking in the shade at this north-of-downtown church. Give your AC a rest and join me for an hour or so of beautiful music in this lovely and cool space. With repertoire by J.S. Bach, Liszt, Debussy, Chopin, and Hymn Partitas by Maddux, Nielsen, Walley, Martin and Gerst.
